Designed based on 18th-century work pants excavated in California. It features a deep rise and a wide silhouette from the thighs to the hems.
The fabric is military moleskin. As the name suggests, moleskin is a thick material with an elegant sheen and a slight nap, resembling the skin of a mole. It is an extremely durable fabric that was mainly used for work jackets and other clothing worn by miners in French coal mines from around 1800 to 1950.
To express the dry-touch texture and fuzziness unique to vintage fabrics, deliberately coarse yarn is used. Furthermore, by applying a mercerized treatment as a pre-processing step, it is finished with an appearance that combines a high-quality sheen with a rugged texture.
Garment dyeing creates natural variations in color along the seams and the contours of the fabric, giving it a rich, multi-dimensional appearance despite being a solid color. As it is worn and washed, changes in color and texture will emerge, allowing you to enjoy the original practicality of work pants and the character that develops over time.
Custom-made embossed buttons and iron back pieces are used. By deliberately omitting plating, rust will develop over time, allowing you to enjoy the natural aging process.
