Taiga Takahashi Lot.603-Beige Sweatshirt Beige

This sweatshirt draws inspiration from the origins of American sportswear before the 1950s, when synthetic materials were not yet widespread.
Like the Lot.601 Tee Shirt, it features a flat, two-dimensional shape created by direct cutting.

It incorporates a V-gusset detail, often omitted in modern times due to cost reduction and technological advancements, on both the front and back of the neckline to absorb sweat. This specification reflects the social and manufacturing context of the era.

The tubular loopback fabric is knitted on existing loopwheel knitting machines. Introduced to Japan during the Taisho period, these loopwheel knitting machines are now rare, with Wakayama Prefecture being the only place in the world where they are still in operation. Although it is a highly inefficient manufacturing method, capable of knitting only about 1 meter per hour, taking time slowly allows the fabric to incorporate air, resulting in a moderately uneven texture. Furthermore, by using USA cotton, a unique texture with a dry feel is achieved.

The charcoal and beige colors are garment-dyed, and by dyeing the product in its finished state, natural gradations are created in the seams and unevenness of the fabric. Combined with the unevenness unique to loopwheel knitting, this results in a finish that, despite being a single color, has a fluctuating expression.
