Taiga Takahashi Lot.121-泥染めブラウン ワークシャツ Mud Dyed Brown

This design is based on the Lot103 pullover work shirt, but with an open-front placket. It retains and redesigns details such as the small collar with a chinstrap, aluminum buttons, and chest pockets, which were common in the 1930s.

The fabric uses linen for the warp and silk nep for the weft. While high quality, it has been finished to give it a well-worn texture.

The mud dyeing is applied as a garment dye, and by dyeing the product in its finished state, natural shading is created in the seams and fabric irregularities. The different materials of linen and silk nep create variations in how the dye is absorbed, resulting in a single color with a profound, nuanced expression.
