Issue No.7 "Automaton"

With the rapid development and research of cyber technology, the human body is gradually being mechanized, and we are fast approaching the technological singularity (the point at which general artificial intelligence or post-humans replace humanity as the leading actors in civilization; a concept in futurology). We are entering an era in which artificial intelligence will reside in fully mechanized human bodies, and it is entirely possible that they will even have their own consciousness. The overall theme of this project is the exploration and consideration of this issue.

Automation

Plethora Magazine issue #7- Automaton investigates the fragmentation of the human body image through the upsurge of new cybernetic technologies, the gradual mechanization of the human sphere and the promise of a truly artificial consciousness here on the verge of technological singularity.
