The fabric is MAX HIGH COUNT HEMP.

This is an original material woven using old-fashioned looms at a historic weaving shop in the Oshu region.
This is a plain weave fabric made with thick hemp yarn woven at the highest possible density for both the warp and weft.

After weaving, the fabric is subjected to a Nidom process, which causes it to shrink significantly, creating a unique uneven surface.
The friction during processing softens the surface fuzz, giving the fabric a soft, brushed feel.

When woven at a high density, the fabric is as stiff as canvas, but the Nidom processing gives it the texture of old cloth that has been used for many years.
