USPS records indicate that a double-breasted coat was adopted as winter outerwear in 1893. Looking back at photographs from the time, this jacket is believed to be a design from around the 1920s. While it has a formal impression, it is characterized by its functionality, including a reinforced patch on the left shoulder designed to accommodate a shoulder bag.

The striped fabric used for this product was inspired by melange stripes seen in French jackets from the 1920s to 1930s. Analysis revealed that the warp threads were composed of five types, and the fabric had a special structure of warp double weave. The thickness and combination of the threads were carefully selected to create the original fabric.
