The 1920s denim jacket, an iconic item of T.T.

Taiga Takahashi preferred store-brand denim over Levi's. In particular, J.C.Penny, which developed a brand called Foremost. In the 1920s, they began making denim that mimicked Levi's, and gradually developed designs with their own originality. TaigaTakahashi collected these denims, felt the spirit of their trial and error in differentiating themselves from Levi's in every detail, inherited that spirit, and created TaigaTakahashi's original denim.

Made from US-grown organic cotton, this 3/1 left-hand, light-ounce denim is woven on a traditional power loom in Okayama. The denim fabric, woven slowly on a traditional power loom, also known as a shuttle loom, which can only weave at 1/10 to 1/20 the speed of modern looms, retains the original unevenness of the cotton yarn, creating an unevenness in a good way.

The warp threads are indigo mixed with sulfide dyes, characterized by a weathered, green-cast color. They are rope-dyed to a white core. The weft threads are custom-made nep yarns dyed to a yellowish ecru that evokes the passage of time. By using these two types of threads, Taiga Takahashi has achieved a unique, deep and rich indigo blue. The finish is sanforized to prevent shrinkage.

The selvedge denim fabric has a "white ear" (selvedge edge), which is used in various places such as the front facing and cuff lining.

This jacket has a simple construction with a patch pocket on only one side and only a single stitch securing the pleats on the front body. The silhouette is finished in a flat construction with straight sleeves and a shoulder line without a shoulder slope.

The custom-engraved buttons and buckle are all made of iron and are not plated on the surface, so they will rust over time, allowing you to enjoy the aging process. All details were created in exactly the same way as in the 1920s.

The signature leather patch was mud-dyed in Amami Oshima.
