Original material woven at a textile mill in the Bishu region.
This plain weave fabric is made from medium-fine hemp yarn woven at the absolute highest possible density for both warp and weft.
After weaving, it undergoes NidoM processing, intentionally shrinking the fabric significantly to create a unique uneven surface.
During processing, the surface is rubbed, softening the fibers and resulting in a moist, brushed-like texture.
Although the fabric is as stiff as canvas when densely woven, the NidoM processing gives it the texture of aged fabric that has been cherished for many years.
