Taiga Takahashi Lot.333-Black Buckle-Backed Jacket C.1930’S Black

1930s denim jackets are characterized by patch pockets with flaps, a detail that indicated significant quality improvements during a time of material scarcity. The pleats on the front of the garment were also reinforced with stitching, enhancing its completeness as workwear, and the one-pocket design is said to have reached its perfected form during this era.

The fabric used is cotton sateen. To increase strength, thick yarns are used on the back side, which is not exposed. In military wear from the 1950s, the reverse side was used as the front to increase strength, creating products resistant to friction. This product also incorporates that background, utilizing what would normally be the reverse side. The uneven texture from the non-uniform yarn is also a distinctive feature.

Custom engraved buttons and back parts are made of iron. A smoked plating process gives them a texture that evokes the passage of time.
