Taiga Takahashi Lot.615 Gray Full Zip Sweat Parka Gray
This design is based on 1940s wool jersey underwear.
Underwear from that era lacked elasticity and frequently featured a front-opening design, commonly known as a Henley neck.
Presumably, to be worn as an undershirt, the opening was moved from the center to the side, a design choice intended to prevent overlap at the placket. Additionally, the back of the neckline is reinforced from the inside with matching fabric.
The material used is a jersey knit characterized by a natural, uneven texture. It is knit with a high gauge using yarn that replicates the feel of an era when it was not yet possible to spin perfectly straight, uniform thread.
The cuffs replicate the circular-knit two-stage ribbed cuffs seen on undershirts from the 1910s. Just like the vintage original, two-tone colors for the ribbing and the body are used to add an accent.
