Original fabric woven at a textile mill in the Bishu region.
This plain weave fabric is made from medium-fine hemp yarns woven at an extremely high density, both in the warp and weft.
After weaving, the fabric undergoes a Nidom process, intentionally shrinking it significantly to create a unique uneven surface.
During this process, the surface is rubbed, softening the fibers and giving it a moist, brushed-like texture.
Although the fabric is initially stiff like canvas when woven at high density, the Nidom process transforms it into a texture reminiscent of vintage fabric that has been cherished for many years.
