Original fabric woven at a textile mill in the Bishu region.
This plain weave fabric is made from medium-fine hemp yarns, woven to the absolute maximum high density for both warp and weft.
After weaving, it undergoes a Nidom process, intentionally shrinking the fabric significantly to create a unique bumpy surface.
Additionally, the surface rubs during processing, softening the fibers and creating a moist, brushed-like texture.
Although the fabric is stiff like canvas when woven at high density, the Nidom process gives it the texture of an old, well-loved cloth.
