Original fabric woven at a weaving mill in the Bishu region.
This is a plain weave fabric made from medium-fine hemp yarn woven at an ultra-high density, both warp and weft.
After weaving, the fabric undergoes a Nidom process, which intentionally shrinks the fabric significantly, creating a unique uneven texture on the surface.
Additionally, the surface friction during the process softens the fibers, resulting in a moist, almost brushed feel.
Although the fabric is as stiff as canvas when woven at high density, the Nidom process gives it the texture of an aged fabric that has been cherished for many years.
