Taiga Takahashi Lot.104-Charcoal Band Collar Shirt Charcoal

A band-collar shirt based on a dress shirt from the 1910s, discovered in New York. At the time, white shirts (plain white dress shirts) were a symbol of elegance, and owning multiple was considered a status symbol for the wealthy.

Conversely, for those who owned only a minimal number, detachable collars emerged, allowing the collar to be removed and used separately. This made it possible to keep the shirt clean by washing only the collar.

While three-dimensional patterns were mainstream in the 1910s, this shirt has a very distinctive structure. Its linear construction stands out, with straight shoulder lines that lack a slope, tight armholes, and sleeves set straight. This pattern, combined with the band collar specification reminiscent of a lost collar, has been incorporated into the design.

The fabric is a blended material of lyocell and cotton, and it has been bio-fibrillated and brushed to give it a matte texture similar to vintage clothing.
