Based in Iwate Prefecture, I create clothing using vintage Japanese textiles and boro.

After gaining experience at a sewing factory, I began making clothes through self-study, and even now, I handle every step of the process myself, from cutting to sewing.

With the theme of "working with and making the most of fabric," I create each piece individually using materials such as linen, silk, and cotton that have stood the test of time.

Through repeated dialogue with the materials, I tailor clothing that incorporates the fabric's unique expressions and history while also fitting a modern sensibility.

Only one garment is born from each material.

I confront materials with their own distinct characteristics, giving form to a single piece of clothing that could only be created from that particular fabric.
