This parka was created with the motif of what people in the vintage clothing industry call a “retrofit parka,” where only the hood portion was added to a sweatshirt afterward. This historical garment has been reinterpreted and incorporated into T.T's design. The round-body lined hoodie has been created on a suspension knitting machine in Wakayama. The use of USA cotton gives the fabric a unique texture with a dry feel. The machine, which came to Japan in the Taisho era (1912-1926), is currently the only one in the world operating in Wakayama Prefecture. It can knit only one meter per hour, making it very inefficient, but the slow process results in a fabric with a unique texture and the right amount of unevenness, as if air were knitted into the fabric. LOGWOOD GRAY is dyed with natural dyes from plants.
