This new style coat is a mix of a 1940s American work coat and a 1940s British work coat. Based on the AW21 Lot.401 Engineer Coat, the front belt has been eliminated, the tailoring has been changed to a flap-over, and the fabric has been made lightweight. The original tweed fabric was developed by T.T, made of Shetland wool and linen in the weft to reproduce dry wool, inspired by dead stock from nearly 100 years ago. Various colors are blended into the yarn to create a deep hue.
