Original material woven at a textile mill in the Bishu region.
This is a plain weave fabric made from medium-fine count hemp yarns, woven with extreme high density in both warp and weft.
After weaving, the fabric undergoes a Nidom process, intentionally shrinking it significantly to create a unique uneven texture on the surface.
During the processing, the surface is rubbed, softening the fibers and resulting in a moist, brushed-like feel.
Although the fabric is as stiff as canvas when woven at high density, the Nidom process transforms it into a texture reminiscent of vintage fabric that has been cherished for many years.
