With reference to the archives of a historic weaver in Bishu, we aimed to create a suit fabric with a unique presence, and developed an original cotton wool gabardine through our own unique reinterpretation. The warp thread is wool and the weft is cotton, and it is made in a modified weave that combines twill and diagonal weaves. The striped thread is made of a unique colored heathered thread made by twisting gray and red threads, adding delicacy to the masculine impression of the stripes. It is slowly woven on an old-fashioned loom, resulting in a fabric with a dry, stiff and unique texture. It has a unique presence like an antique that is not found in current fabrics. It is a fabric that is very fun to look forward to as it ages with use.
